Con el fin de continuar reconociendo el importante trabajo que realizan cientos de mujeres a lo largo del país, la Fundación Mujer Impacta decidió realizar una nueva versión de su Premio Región Mujer Impacta, esta vez, en Atacama. El lanzamiento de las postulaciones se realizó el pasado martes 12 de marzo, en Copiapó, en una ceremonia encabezada por el Intendente (s) Manuel Corrales, la Directora de la Fundación Mujer Impacta, María Paz Tagle y la Seremi de la Mujer, Nieve Martínez.

La primera autoridad regional (s) manifestó que “en esta oportunidad vimos presentaciones con historias de mujeres que realmente conmueven y que pueden cambiar un país. Sabemos que en Atacama contamos con muchas mujeres aguerridas, trabajadoras y que han generado grandes cambios en nuestra región y eso hay que reconocerlo”.

Según afirma la directora de la Fundación Mujer Impacta, María Paz Tagle, con este premio se busca “destacar el trabajo desinteresado que tantas mujeres realizan por hacer mejores y comunidad. Sabemos que en la Región de Atacama estas historias de entrega y dedicación abundan y queremos que nos ayuden para que podamos premiarlas y apoyarlas en su labor”.

El Premio Región Mujer Impacta – Atacama, es apoyado por Gasco, Banco Santander y Minera Candelaria y cuenta con el patrocinio de Sky, TurBus y Maray Radios. Será el primero que la organización entregue en el norte del país, en su búsqueda por expandirse a todo Chile.

En 2018, el Premio Región Mujer Impacta se entregó por primera vez en La Araucanía, destacando la labor de diversas mujeres de la zona, resultando ganadora Nadia Valenzuela, profesora de ciencias que destacó por su trabajo con los niños en un colegio de Angol.

Las inscripciones para postular a este premio en la Región de Atacama estarán abiertas hasta el 12 de abril en mujerimpacta.cl. La postulación se puede realizar tanto por la mujer que desarrolla la iniciativa, o como ocurre en la mayoría de los casos, por una persona que conozca su labor y quiera que sea reconocida.
